Regional Brigade
The Katif Brigade, also called the Southern Brigade in the Gaza Strip, is the southern of the Gaza Division's two brigades. It secures the Eshkol-region communities, the northern Israel–Egypt border, and the Gaza barrier; before the 2005 disengagement it also protected the Gush Katif settlements.
